This is my late budgie Beakie. Unfortunately she passed away today (27th October 2007) at the relatively young age of 6 years - she will be missed very much. Rest in peace Beakie.

My budgie, Beakie. She is an albino of the green species thus comes out a beautiful yellow colour. I think the proper name is a lupino but I could be wrong. It is difficult to sex albinos but she does have a very non-colourful cere. That and she gets humped by our very male budgie, Kieffer!

Congratulations to Beakie - she has just made it to explore!

I thought I would post this photo to wish all of my contacts a very merry christmas!

This is my baby son Michael sitting with a christmas hat on in front of the xmas tree. I decided to make a selective colour shot to make the hat stand out and added a vignette to emphasise him as the main subject. This was shot wide open with the Canon 'thrifty fifty' 50mm f/1.8 lens - probably Canon's cheapest lens but the quality is very good. I would recommend this lens for all Canon DSLR owners - now theres a christmas gift idea for people!

This is a photo of the Angel of the North in Gateshead. The photo was taken as a RAW and two exposures were made and blended together in Photoshop to give a nice looking sky with clouds and the shadow on the ground. For those that have visited the angel and photographed it they will appreciate how difficult a shot this would be. I like the way there is a halo glow around the angel, gives it a, well, angelic look! Tehcnically this is an HDR done manually.

This swan was eating a piece of bread out of the water and I managed to capture it just as it took its beak out showing the water drops. This image was manually HDRd using 2 exposures from a single shot and then stitched together in Photoshop.
