This is a long exposure twilight shot of the Tyne Bridge which has been HDR Tone Mapped in Photomatix and touched up (lens dust) in Photoshop.

This is a photo of the A1 going from Washington past Gateshead into Newcastle. The shot is taken with a long exposure to catch the movement of the cars. I particularly like the 2 cars indicating to change lanes :o)

This is a long exposure shot of the River Tyne with the Millenium and Tyne Bridges with the Sage in the background. On the left hand side there is the famous peace mural too.

As some of you may know I am entering monthly competitions in one of the magazines. This months topic is 'Urban Nightscapes' which is difficult when it doesnt get dark until midnight! Well I went out into the centre of Newcastle until 1am to take some night shots which was quite fun! This is one of my attempts - The Tyne Bridge.

If you get a moment to go through the photos in my 'Urban Nightscape' set and comment on which you prefer it would be greatly appreciated! There are 3 to choose from and I am undecided on which to go for. Competition closes July 2nd so I need to choose fast!

This shot was taken at night in the dark - it required a long exposure to get any light which has resulted in seeing the clouds move quite a bit. I converted it to black and white and I think it gives quite an eerie feel
