I have a new toy. I am going on a four-day architure business trip (not photography), and taking my big DSLR and lenses with me is simply not an option. So I bought a Sony RX 100 iii to take photos with while on the trip, and to carry around in general when I won't have my DSLR handy. The RX100 has a pano mode in which it takes a series of rapid shots as you slowly pan, and it combines them in-camera into a pano. I tried this out on the way to work on Tuesday morning when the morning light and clouds in sky combined with clear air to make great photography conditions. This was all spontaneous for me, but exactly why I bought the camera. Overall, I'm impressed with the result. It looked soft in-camera and when exported via wifi to my iPad, but after downloading the RAW file to Lightroom I'm much more happy with the image. This is how it turned out after processing.
