Lençóis Maranhenses National Park is a Park in north east Brazil. Lençóis Park is known for it’s bizarre phenomena: Blue lagoons which appear to sprite out of the desert’s sand dunes (even though it’s not actually a desert – there is too much rain to call this place a desert).
The lagoons get filled with fresh water via heavy rains which fill the lagoons – they are fullest around August each year.

A supercell is a storm with a deep upward current. Super cells are the least common form of storm, but are potentially the most violent. Hail bigger than the size of a tennis ball, strong damaging winds and tornadoes can accompany these storms. Supercells are very common on the great plains of the USA.

We left at 9:00 AM from South Dakota east of Wyoming. The most unstable areas were there and the probability of a tornado was at 5%, which is an average / good number. It was 4 hours of road later and a purple mass was already on our radar. We stopped at the entrance of a farm to observe the storm's behavior and decide how to approach it.
The conditions were good. Winds from the southeast brought moisture against the highland on the shores of the Rocky Mountains. At 5,300 feet at 61 Dew Point, the storm's base was very low and the Sheer kept the supercell rotating constant. On the radar was also seen a hook in the southern part of the cloud mass, indicative of faster rotation. That's where we had to go. We went back along the same dirt road about 7 Kms to the top of a hill. We stopped and all descended. It was our cabin. Something like watching the ACDC show in the front row. Cameras, camcorders, tripods, gopros, strong wind, sweating hands and adrenaline. It was going to roll, it was clear.
The rotation was increasing, formed the funnel cloud that touched the ground at 4:25 pm remained 20 seconds and fell apart.
The clouds twisted further, and he reappeared twice as large as he touched the ground a few feet behind the small house in the picture. A monster that changed shape for five minutes until it crumbled like a giant S-shaped snake. I don't know if words can describe such an experience. Chugwater WY - 07/04/2019 ”
