January 1st. It was dry and I took my canon and my hangover out to the garden. Already I feel like spring is coming. Daffodils beginning to come up and buds on trees. Hurray!

January 2nd. So weather has returned to default setting of wet and miserable. I did however manage to get into town to do jobs, buy school shoes and spend Xmas money, all by 2 pm! One of my 52 projects has a theme of 'our house', so this is looking at the mantelpiece with the room behind and Christmas lights and tree. The figurine was given to us for our wedding as were both pics you can see reflected. The dove is a Christmas decoration.
I do worry that I am going to get confused which group has which theme!

January 3rd. Had an arty plant shot but then some friends arrived and I just had to get a pic of these boots. However, quite hard to get a self conscious teenager to pose while lying on the floor! I like this shot with the focus on the back leg, but I also notice how dirty my kitchen floor is.

January 4th. Last day of my holiday, back to normality on Monday. Still very dull here but managed to get out to find a fence this Friday. This is a shut off pool, closed down for the winter. Bit of Snapseed made the image brighter. I have straightened about 5 times!

January 5th. A challenge from one group is to show us where you live. However, we live in a small rural village and Cornwall is a small community. With kids I have some hang ups about privacy. I usually tag at Mount Hawke but that's not where we live. However, this is the view from near us looking toward Carn Brea. Those who know this area and saw my photos last year could well work out where we live! It was sunny today briefly but I have added a drama touch with Snapseed.
