I just got back from an Icelandic photo tour I helped organize. We all came home with some great photos, I just wish I had the first days photo that were corrupted on my camera. Has anyone ever had both cards in a D800e completely disappear?

I hope you like fog photos because I have them in spades. In fact, fog is really the only thing I've photographed since early May. I'm not complaining; in fact, I'm starting to build up a nice collection of San Francisco Bay Area fog photos here.
This coming weekend, though, I'm going for a little change of scenery and weather. I'll be heading out to California's Eastern Sierra for a summer monsoon landscape photography workshop. If you have the time and the funds, I highly recommend face-to-face instruction to supplement your own photographic experimentation. Nothing has improved my capture skills the way in-person workshops have, and I always seem to come back from them re-energized for the hobby and eager to put what I've learned to good use. I may even have to interrupt the fogfest with some Eastern Sierra photos....
