This was shot on Black and White Film....but I couldn't resist the blue tint....it just feels right I guess.
From a recent trip wilst completing 120 miles of the John Muir Trail
No Moon...lantern inside the tent and one sticky lense made for a short shooting session.

So before I slept in the car I opened the shutter on the Rollei and set my alarm for 0445 AM to make sure the sunrise didn't ruin the shot.
Two things about a Rollei I learned on this trip.....composing the shot through the ground glass viewfinder and the twin lenses is harder to do than I imagined. In the viewfinder this shot had 2-3 inches of foreground in it and the tree top was very close to the top of the frame....once the film was developed it was the opposite....so I need to take that into account in the future.
Second learning lesson was ALWAYS advance the film.....a few failed shots since I forgot to advance the film.
This HP5 is grainy stuff!!!!

I edited this photo from last night to tonight to remove a pesky plane trail. After sleeping on it I decided I didn't like the plane at all and some offline advice firmed that up.
Unfortunately my replacement upload removed all prior comments and my responses to them....
