Greenland, 2017
The icebergs in Disko Bay on the west coast of Greenland are much larger than anything we saw in Iceland. This floating arch was an awesome sight to see on a calm, sunny evening.

During my stay in Ilulissat, I walked past this picturesque harbor several times a day and was attracted each time by the stillness of its waters and the geometry of its moored boats. I was doubly intrigued, perhaps, because I had not seen anywhere, a photograph from this location. So one evening when we got this amazing sky at around midnight, I already had this composition in my head and rushed over to the spot I had pre-visualized in my mind with my Phase One in tow. I was fortunate to be able to set up quickly and make a few images before the sun emerged from behind the cloud cover. The floating iceberg amongst the boats was an added bonus.
