Today was going to be a busy day - there was a morning mask meetup at Arsenale and then the rescheduled San Lorenzo mask meetup at 1500. The weather gods actually cooperated and the rains held off most of the day. It was a bittersweet day since most of my mask and photographer friends had left Venice already. However, there were plenty of new masks to shoot with so I had a blast.

This turned out to be my last photo session at the 2024 Carnevale. There was another meetup scheduled for Arsenale on Monday morning but the rain came back with a vengeance and it turned into an all day soaker. All in all it was a great Carnevale and I can't wait until the 2025 event!

I took these photos with a fairly new Sony A7iii. I'm still in a learning mode with this camera but absolutely love it.
