CN 8856 leads a manifest across Wisconsin toward Superior through the town of Gordon at milepost 421 of the CN Superior Subdivision mainline. Earlier in the day I grabbed a photo of an oil train here when there was considerably more snow. In a couple more days the snow was totally melted.

Empty oil tanks bound for Alberta cross Beebe Road north of Solon Springs, Wisconsin on the CN Superior Subdivision. North of Gordon, the Superior Sub. uses the Omaha route to Parkland. The Wisconsin Central/Soo Line grade is visible in the foreground which became the preferred and now active route from Gordon and beyond to the southeast.
