Guy Endore went to Hollywood in the mid-1930s and wrote film scripts for many of the major studios. In the 1950s, he was blacklisted because of his close association with the Communist Party.
Despite its attention-grabbing title, The Werewolf of Paris is a novel of the 1871 Paris Commune—when socialists, communists, anarchists and radical Jacobins threw their energies into a social experiment on a huge scale.
