This is one of the first images I took after removing my filter during the eclipse giving a glimpse of the prominences. I have wonderful memories of the eclipse (Clingman's Dome, Great Smoky Mountain National Park) but know that I was overwhelmed by the task of trying to capture it with two cameras in a totality of 1 min and 26 seconds. Sure hope to have another opportunity in 2024!

My husband and I were fortunate to be able to view the 2017 Solar Eclipse from Clingman's Dome in the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. What a memorable occasion!

On a fall vacation to Colorado, my husband and I decided to alter our plans and drove to Rocky Mountain National Park for the last two days of our trip. Winter made an early appearance on October 6th, and we enjoyed a day hiking in the snow to three lakes. This photo was taken at Dream Lake toward the end of the hike as the front began to clear. (I haven't been active on Flickr for most of the year but did want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and great blessings for the New Year! During the year, I have enjoyed viewing the wonderful work that each of you continue to contribute!)
