Flying northwest from Alexandra Fjord, we crossed Buchanan Bay. These strikingly light coloured mountains were on the north shore of the Bay, which is really a large, branched fjord complex.

A geologist we had earlier talked with at Resolute Bay had said he loved being a geologist in the Arctic because "you can do geology from the plane!". This appears to be true.

First roll through my $4 Olympus Infinity 35mm point-and-shoot, also known as the AF-1 in other parts of the world.
