590nm infrared on the 5 day old piglets this time.

I'm not too sure what's going on here. It almost looks like the colour separation is picking up heat, but I'm pretty sure that doesn't happen with "Near Infrared" photography. The piglet at the front had just moved in from the sun too... hmm.

A couple of quick snapshots of the new Stroppa strap and Sicher soft-release shutter on the Fuji X100. Both of these are actually meant for the new Nikon FM3a that I bought from a shop in the UK, but it hasn't turned up yet. I also have a red version of the Stroppa strap on the Sony A7II that I used to take this. So far I really like them, but they haven't been out of the house yet.

I got this 'Beast' of a machine today. A post-digital film SLR launched in 2001 (After the D1), with a stunningly clever hybrid electronic/mechanical shutter. I was lucky enough to find one in a shop, in great condition, with a great lens and for a reasonable price (IMO at least)... I just couldn't resist.

I plan on getting a bunch of things for this before doing a proper photoshoot of it, so lots of camera porn on the way, but for now here is a shot of just it and the stock lens (originally that was the 45mm pancake). Next time it will have a cover for the sync port and flash hot-shoe, a hand stitched leather case from south America, A rope strap from Poland and possibly an even cooler new lens...

After struggling to find an English language version of the manual anywhere on ebay, or the rest of the internet (without buying the camera again), I actually managed to find one just down the road here in Sweden. So I am counting myself very lucky indeed!
