Olympus E-M5 Micro Four Thirds camera on tripod at ISO 1600 f/2.0 and 20sec with the Olympus mZD 12mm f/2.0 lens.

A great versatile lens for landscapes, IR and night scenes but not optimised for astrophotography with the CA and aberrations on the over-exposed brightest stars in the corners which is typical of nearly all wide angle lenses.

Olympus E-M5 Micro Four Thirds camera hand held infrared photo using Olympus m.ZD 12mm f/2.0 lens and Hoya R72 IR filter

Lake Mungo is in remote outback New South Wales in Australia and has not been a constant water lake for 18,000 years. The sand dunes on its edges known as "The Wall of China" are made up of fossilised tubular structures as well as Aboriginal indigenous artefacts dating back to the earliest inhabitation of Australia by humans.

Panasonic GH-1 with Rokinon 85mm f/1.4 manual focus lens

Compare this with similar image taken with the Canon 1D Mark III with 135mm f/2.0L lens here: www.flickr.com/photos/44919156@N00/5984498994

Almost identical and the lens is a quarter of the price!
