I've been away from Flickr on and off, not only because my internet connection is hardly working for Flickr these days, but also because I traveled to Southern California. I'll be uploading a few photos from that trip this week. This photo was taken at a wonderful park in Santa Monica, where one can enjoy a view of Santa Monica Bay and the Pacific stretching out to the horizon.
This is probably a pretty unusual photo of "sunny California" .... but I like it as a pair with the other one below. It's a spot where I spent many wonderful moments. In facti it's my favorite place in all of the Los Angeles area, where people come every day to walk, jog, bring their babies, walk their dogs, visit with friends, and contemplate the vast infinite ocean beyond. Where people come to experience nature and peace, inspiration, and beauty.
The silhouette? I like the graphic effect that shows the simple relationship of the trees to the people, and how small the people are .... that's what this place brings to us. A feeling of the vastness of nature.
