Here's another glimpse of this lovely place. Truly a pleasant surprise to discover this ancient garden, originally the Medici family's medicinal plant garden, and one of the oldest botanical gardens of Europe, now owned and maintained by the University of Firenze.
The historic center of Florence is crowded with medieval buildings with few trees, so coming upon this garden was like finding a little oasis and breath of fresh air. This young magnolia tree was announcing the end of winter on this cold, overcast March day. I added a slight touch of "Diffuse Glow" in PS to honor the poetry of this sweet little tree.
