Grade 11 Listed, date of construction uncertain: roughly dressed sandstone, semi-elliptical arch, no parapets.

Commonly known as a packhorse bridge, this tiny and steep bridge crosses the little river Keer. It is a strange little bridge, and I would not have liked to guide a packhorse over it! Close by is a ford, which I assume is still used for cattle ("cow claps" nearby).

Towering over the packhorse bridge is a railway Viaduct (1867).

A Water Corn/Saw Mill used to be situated a short distance upstream, now used as an idyllic Des Res. Rising above the Mill House and the little river Keer is the Aqueduct (1797), which carries the canal. The canal, in turn, has the Railway line above it.....

So many forms of transport. From packhorse bridge and small lane, to canal and canal boats, to railway and steam trains. All within a few yards of each other.

With the M6 nearby and jets overhead, all major forms of transport in one small area!
