I decided to take a break from my covered bridge series and select an image from the archives. This is from a trip through Central Oregon in 2020. I found this abandoned truck sunbathing in the Fort Rock State Natural Area. I have no idea what make or year but I'll accept suggestions from any experts out there. I just like the way the afternoon sun accents the colors of the truck and surrounding shrubbery.

BRIDGE NAME: Stayton-Jordan Covered Bridge
OTHER NAME: Salem Power Canal Covered Bridge
PRECEDED BY: Jordan Covered Bridge (1937)
OTHER NAME: Thomas Y Bridge
COUNTY: Marion
STREAM: Salem Power Canal
NEAREST TOWN: Stayton
STATUS: Open to pedestrians
BRIDGE LENGTH: 90 Feet
YEAR BUILT (Scio): 1937 (Over Thomas Creek)
DISMANTLED: 1986
REBUILT (Stayton): 1986-1988 (Over Salem Power Canal)
DEDICATED: 1988
DESTROYED BY FIRE: 1994
REBUILT: 1998
Other Notes: Located in Stayton, Oregon, this is a 1998 replica of an earlier covered bridge destroyed by a fire ignited from Christmas lights targeted by kids with BB Guns in 1994. Apparently, this is "nearly identical" to the original and is open to pedestrian traffic, only.
The original was built in 1937 near the rural community of Jordan in Linn County and spanned Thomas Creek. Then, after being dismantled and replaced in 1986, it was reassembled on this spot in 1988. In addition to functioning as a public footbridge, the structure is sometimes reserved for private events such as weddings.
