An old-fashioned wooden intercom, staring at visitors of Seodaemun Prison's torture cells. The prison was built by the Japanese occupying forces to arrest Korean freedom fighters.

The Chinese characters on the right say "Take more exercise, bear up under affliction", thanks to zealotmat for the translation.

The most difficult part here was to find a taxi which stopped for a sufficiently long time to set up the tripod and take a bracketed set of seven exposures. This one left one second after the last shot!

This elderly woman is an avid photographer, she was walking around Gyeongbokgung Palace searching for the perfect view. I observed her for a while and finally caught her in the middle of these wooden pillars.
