A perfect weekend weather wise was all the reason needed for Warblers in Southern Ohio this past weekend with friend Jim Buescher.
We seen and photographed several species this trip including this Blue Gray Gnatcatcher.

We found a cooperative Yellow Throated Warbler, These can be tough to get down from the tree canopy, but we finally found a bird that cooperated.

A Northern Parula from Adams County Ohio within the Appalachia Nature Preserve. Seen here perched on a Black Locust branch, This is one of the smallest warblers measuring only 3 1/2"-41/2" long and weighing only 9 Grams ".3 oz" The light was harsh, but I was still pleased with this image!
