Love the eye on these guys. I was hoping for a head turn while he did this to see the inside of the mouth as it's also turquoise in color!

I Photographed this Pied Billed Grebe at Santee Lakes in California. In Ohio they can be difficult to approuch, they often dive to elude predators as well as forage for fish.
Here he has caught a fish nearly 1/3rd his size. No problem getting it down though!
