Red Throated Loon in Barrow Alaska. This image is another of a sequence from 2018's Trip
I was in the water with this Loon and a Spectacled Eider pair for a couple of hours.
It was one of those perfect ponds, relatively flat where you could kneel down and the water would be about 4" below the tops of your waders, pure heaven.
I had the Gimbal submerged under water and the lens about 2" off the water for this image.
waders don't come up that high I took on about 2 gallons of water down the fronts of my waders but it was so worth it.
I love photographing from the water, Birds are so much more at ease with you in there surroundings. The difference is amazing.
