While I was stuck in traffic on north bound I-680, I saw the yellow mustard blooming on the hillside. Good thing I had my point and shoot with him in the center console. So I rolled down my passenger window and took this shot. I didn't realizer there was Rivian SUV parking right below the shack.

I have decided to change the wallpaper with my Zoom account. There were only a few totality shots I have taken earlier this month as I was lucky enough to have a short window before the low clouds covering the whole sky. Actually I think it was a rather unique experience. Otherwise I would have taken the same shots as everyone who had a clear sky.

There is a color new film stock from UK I wanted to try. It 's called Harmon Phoenix Color 200. I am not sure what I can make out of it. It 's extremely contrasty and lacking dynamic range. I put one roll into my Leica point and shoot for the half marathon run two months ago. It's not what I would have expected. On the other hand, it changed the perception of the scenes. You could have different interpretations of the result. In this case, it looks zombie apocalyptic. Perhaps this would be my last roll. Kudoto the effort from Harmon Group in cranking out this new color film stock though.

We stopped over at the Earthships compound on our way to Durango and were intrigued by the way they built these green and livable houses using sustainable materials. Unlike the traditional adobe style of New Mexico for the exterior, these Earthship houses are mostly odd looking from their exterior. Yet they are functional with good insulation. I am not sure what to make out of these in this photo. But they definitely serve as good roadside attractions.

I also brought a point and shoot film camera for my trip to the Southwest a couple weeks ago. Fortunately my two rolls of film survived the X-Ray scan at the airport. I captured this scene at the highest point of Aztec Ruins. Saw a naked old man talking to the lady. I found the scene pretty intriguing. I am glad the black and white film has turned out well.
