* What an incredible weekend the weather on the North East Coast was vile but inside Whitby Pavilion it was wall to wall music and that was better than sunshine . Listened to musicians from 15 different countries and four continents . It was a celebration that we have more in common than what divides us as human beings , nationalism and walls are dead ends . I listened yesterday afternoon to two women singing together in perfect harmony yesterday one from Israel the other from Palestine.

Back to Canada
One of the highlights of my trip to Canada was a boat trip along Maligne Lake, my word what a beautiful place this is. As ever in Canada the skies were cloudy and grey but this seemed to make the lakes colour glow all the more . The colour of the water also deepened as you moved down the lake . Just in case anyone thinks I have enhanced the colour I haven’t, I actually desaturated it a little as it looked a little unreal .

The tiny island is called Spirit Island and it has special significance to the first nation people of the area . This was a great day as well as the Lake we saw three separate groups of Moose some Elk and also a couple of deer

It's an anniversary today.
It is fifty years today that the great American writer Jack Kerouac died , the prose and poetry lives on however .I saw On The Road at a book stall at the festival yesterday. A shot at the top of the comments of my visit to Jacks grave in Lowell Massachusetts in 2017

THANKS FOR YOUR VISITING BUT CAN I ASK YOU NOT TO FAVE AN IMAGE WITHOUT ALSO MAKING A COMMENT. MANY THANKS KEITH. ANYONE MAKING MULTIPLE FAVES WITHOUT COMMENTS WILL SIMPLY BE BLOCKED
