I just returned from New York City during the September 11 anniversary. This has been on my bucket list for a while now. Lots of photographers from all over the country arrived at this popular spot. I didn't particularly like the pilings here, however, the tide rose quickly and covered them just enough to provide some awesome leading lines. I hope everyone is well:) Jave

In the last year I've been out twice. This was the other night, it was so good to get out. I've been eyeing this scene or a long time. For years, I've seen some beautiful Sunflower fields blooming off of HWY 80 near Davis, CA. The other day the clouds looked promising so I grabbed my gear, jumped in the car and landed here in Woodland, CA. I was so excited to get back out and shoot, that I processed the image the next day. Hello and Happy New Year my dear Flickr friends. Sorry for the long absence and hope the new year is treating you well. Life is GOOD however, very busy and almost forgot how to process:) I took this image last year in Lake Tahoe, NV. It was the 4th of July weekend and all of the locals were complaining about the monsoonal weather and lack of sun. Of course, I was happy to see the great textures approaching as the sun was setting. The sky blew up nicely and I had to beg (threaten) party goers to exit the pier as I shot a few frames. As always may the light be with you my friends. Jave

I hope everyone is well? This image is from a recent trip to Redwood National Park in Northern California. Alan, Willie and I drove 1000 miles in two days but as you can see it was well worth it. What an amazing sight these giant Redwoods are. We were treated with some amazing light beams during this hike. May the light be with you. Jave
