The 'Ascension' window at the east end of the Cathedral. Designed by the pre-Raphaelite artist Sir Edward Burne-Jones and installed in 1885. The artist was born in Birmingham and baptised in what was then St.Philip's Parish Church before it obtained cathedral status in 1905.
This window is flanked on the left by the Nativity window and on the right by the Crucifixion window. At the west end of the cathedral is the large 'Last Judgment' window. All of these windows have just been restored and given better protection.
