A doe and two young bucks chose to rest under this trampoline for several hours. It was a warmer Spring day and they seemed to appreciate some quiet. They were shedding their Winter coats, including the fur on and in their ears. The only nagging issue was there were biting insects, perhaps deer flies, that exacted some stinging bites.

This dove's species is named Deca-octo, Greek for the number 18. ”This number comes from a Greek myth. A maid was unhappy as she was only paid 18 coins a year and begged the gods to let the world know how little she was rewarded by her mistress. Thereupon, Zeus transformed her into a dove which has called out ‘deca octo”’ ever since.” - Wikipedia
I’m not sure if the maid was happier with her transformation or if it was punishment....
