Good Friday morning everyone and hope a great weekend is had by all, and a safe one as well. This was the first species of wading birds I found when I retired to Florida, and thought the beauty before me epitomized the Florida wading bird. Coming from N.Y. and seeing only Pigeons I was in awe and the rest is history. Thanks for visiting, and enjoy the day and weekend.

Exhibiting a little patience with this very elusive species my average is definitely going up, I can watch and wait for as long as it takes for the right opportunity as you will see in future posts of these guys.

A good Monday morning to all and so hope that a great weekend was had by everyone.
This was my second visit to the Tricolor nest, the first being just to to record the Mom tending the eggs, and then this where the 2 of the 3 eggs hatched. The most interesting thing I found with this image folks of which there were many, to many actually, was that the chick in the foreground was cuddling the one not yet hatched, I can wish can't I. The place and area was very impacted with people and not a place I like to do my photography, and the only good thing was I met Jamie Felton, a fine and gifted photographer, then when she left I left and this is the result of that my only outing with the babies.
