For my current project, a fairly important piece for the main body is Wedge 3 1/2 x 4, often used on airplanes or helicopters. Surprisingly, it doesn’t come in tan - so I cut up several Harry Potter sticker sheets to substitute for the missing color. You can actually already see it in use in the last wip picture I shared.

My 1/36 scale F-4B Phantom model is more than six years old and much of its design is even older. Furthermore, since I designed mine, several others have built really nice Phantom models, Planebricks, Julius D and [Maks] come to mind. My old model looks distinctly clunky in comparison and is long overdue for a comprehensive redesign.

This is not without challenges and compromises. The leading edges of the wings should be swept back more than 45 degrees, but with the upper surfaces grey and the bottom ones white, as well as the outer wing panels having to fold up, that gets really complicated really quickly. Also, on this scale the canopies ought to be a bit narrower, but that causes problems with the cockpit interiors and the small windows between the front and rear cockpits. However, I think the section I've built so far already looks a lot better than the model I currently have.
