A day when dark clouds heralded hail storms and scudding squalls, all in all my perfect sort of beach day. Loaded Gun is by The Dead 60's , I seem to spend the day dodging bullets. It's been so wet this winter and early spring, we're due a bit of sun so I can feed my adder obsession.

I haven't posted a photo in ages , and I've hardly been out taking landscapes, as I've been busy watching adders. This was a black and white from a trip to the caves at Ogmore by Sea on a big spring tide. In Eyeland is by Low Anthem and is perfect for this stretch of coast where your eyes just light up with possibilities.

I'm off to my daughter's today in Devon for Christmas. It's been a great year even though I haven't been taking as many photos as usual , mainly as I've been studying my local adder population. One of the photographic highlights was a summer trip to the Dolomites. The walk around the tree Time di Lavaredo has wonderful views in every direction. I seem to be in black and white mode recently so Darklands by Jesus and Mary chain is fine. Happy Christmas everyone, Paul

A desire I'd had was to see the Vajolet towers, and I wasn't disappointed despite the fact the little lake had almost dried up, spoiling my idea of a perfect reflection. It was a magnificent walk though in the most dramatic limestone paradise.Dark paradise is by Lana Del Ray.
