4 minute exposure of the iconic Selsey Lifeboat Station.
End of an era as demolition has started on the interior of this much loved south coast landmark. Such a shame to see it go, and normally I would be thinking “so much for progress, what about heritage?”, but on this occasion its removal seems sensible, as it is falling apart and unrepairable. A new station was needed to replace it, which has been built but on the shore. This will house the latest model of lifeboat providing a safer vessel for the brave souls who risk their lives manning it, and ultimately provide a better rescue service to those in peril on the sea.
