Port Rowan area, Ontario.
Sorry Flickr friends and contacts, I've been off the grid for the past few months adjusting to my new surroundings. I took a drive to the north shore of Lake Erie yesterday and was not disappointed. Having lived many years in central Alberta, I became accustomed to the rhythms of the migratory seasons of that region.
Southern Ontario is a different animal altogether. There's probably a month and a half difference in migratory activity here in the south. I saw thousands of Sandhill Cranes and tens of thousands of Red-Winged Black Birds and various ducks. I encountered male northern harriers as well as several pairs of Eastern Bluebirds.
I'll catch up with comments in the coming days.

This little RWBB was relentless in it's pursuit of anything that came near its nest. In this case a Red-tailed Hawk which was protecting its own nest in pursuit of me. I was there simply for the photographs ... we were all just doing our jobs I guess.
