I was reminiscing about our vacation to Malta earlier this year. I didn't bring a tripod with me so I was out of my comfort zone not having the tools I am used to using. Marsalforn is lined with restaurants all along the bay and many of them are right out in the water. You could be swimming if you had chose waterfront dining on an incoming tide! il Gabbaiano restaurant is what is pictured here and all of the food you order is fresh caught daily as with all the restaurants along the bay. It is very common to spend 2 hours getting through your meal which is quite different from the pace here in America. I was told many times to relax and enjoy the view!

On the map, the hike to Kvalvika beach didn't look long, but climbing over boulders, up and down and up and down was quite exhausting. But the view was totally worth it and this beach is humongous! This is even the smaller one – off to the right, behind the mountain slope, is the larger beach. Since this beach is oriented to the north, there's nothing in the way to stop the wind so bundle up and bring layers when visiting – it will make your stay longer and more enjoyable ;)

PS: To give you an idea of the scope, since it's hard to tell: with the DJI Spark drone, from 80+m up, we weren't able to get the entire beach into the frame. Walking from one end to the other took several minutes. The landslide on the dune below where you can see the sand between the grass? You can fit an entire house in there ;)
