En la imagen un macho de Crocothemis erythraea, lo considero adulto sin haber llegado al color definitivo. en la etapa juvenil.
La mancha azulada en la parte posterior del ojo, el color y el abdomen aplanado nos indican la especie. Los apéndices anales, que es un macho.
Tanto macho como hembra tienen un gran atractivo en todas las edades.

The bluish spot on the back of the eye, the color and the flattened abdomen indicate the species. The anal appendages, which is a male.

En la imagen el macho de Crocothemis erythraea en la etapa juvenil.
Podemos observar que el tono es muy parecido a la hembra joven, así como la mancha azulada en la parte posterior del ojo. Sabremos que es un macho por los apéndices anales y la presencia en el segundo segmento abdominal de la genitalia secundaria.

Esta hembra de Crocothemis erythraea la considero madura por ese tono castaño que luce. Mantiene la zona azulada del ojo y la prominente lámina vulvar para que no nos podamos confundir.
Da la casualidad que las tres hembras que he presentado fueron conseguidas el mismo día en el mismo lugar, la primera a lass 12'15, la segunda a las 12'38 y esta a las 12'47. Me resultó curioso ver jóvenes y maduras compartiendo territorio.

I consider this female Crocothemis erythraea mature because of that brown tone it looks like. She maintains the bluish area of the eye and the prominent vulvar plate so that we cannot be confused.
It so happens that the three females that I have presented were obtained on the same day in the same place, the first at 12:15, the second at 12:38 and this one at 12:47. I found it curious to see young men and women sharing territory.
