In the early afternoon, after an extensive photo session in Skaland, I arrived at the last and best of Bøvær's four beaches. I booted down to the beach across the freshly snow-covered meadow and positioned my tripod at the confluence of a small creek. At the end of the cove were a few cabins, one prominently painted in red, all under a beautiful and atmospheric sky. Senja, Norway.

Today I enter the large and beautiful Anderalen National Park and follow the main road Fv232 past the Kaperdalen Sami Museum to the most beautiful viewpoint overlooking Sifjord. The zigzag road now leads in endless switchbacks down a huge scree slope; seemingly into nowhere. Welcome to Sifjord! The detour to the picturesque rural village on a winding road turns out to be a nice photo spot: a calm sea reflecting clouds and mountains, complemented by bright winter tones and dark forest parts of picturesque Sifjord. Senja, Norway.

On a March day, after a long day of photography, I stop my car for a short break on the way to Gryllefjord. The sunset has been over for a while and the blue hour has started quite a while ago. The water in the fjord is calm, almost no waves, pink and purple hues dominate. Shortly it will be dark and for me an eventful day will come to an end. Senja, Norway.

It is already half past four o'clock and it begins to darken when I arrive at the beach of Ballesvika. It is low tide and the water has retreated far. So I can easily walk far out on sandy mud. The sun is already very low and I find interesting structures that the outflowing water has created.

I must hurry with photographing, the water rises again steadily and I want to come back dry feet to the beach. Senja, Norway.

On a cold March day I am on the road and stop on the snowy Fv232 for a short break. My view wanders into the distance, in the background I see the wooded cut in which the road leads in steep turns down to Sifjord.

Sifjord is a characteristic and cozy fishing village on the island of Senja in Norway, it offers breathtaking views of the fjord and the mountains as well as a range of activities. Here the visitor enjoys the peaceful atmosphere of the village and can experience the beauty of Norway.
