I got it into my head that I'd seen the egg shaped boulder on Paul's stream and thought I'd go out of my way to find it and have a crack at it myself. We were too early for high tide and I couldn't see Mrs R wanting to sit around waiting, and to be fare there's nothing much here to do (other than a boat trip) apart from admire the views and take photos... but you all knew that!
I've never really tried seascapes before let along stick my tripod so near the shoreline. Dave Evans was already setup and merrily shooting away so I thought why not have a go and setup to his left. A couple of point and shoot shots quickly made me realise they were pants so out came the filters and stoppers. It's a lot more trickier than I presumed, trying to get just the right amount of blur and background sharpness. With all the faffing around trying different settings I lost sight of the fact that the tide waits for no man... it's the best of a bad bunch and wet boots and pants for my efforts, but it's all part of the learning curve.
