Technically, this area is called Trenton & the Trenton Bluffs. I call it Hager City but it is really west of Hager City by a mile or two on the way to Diamond Bluff on BNSF's St. Croix Sub.

BNSF considers it part of Hager City and the crossing I'm standing at is near the intersection of Highway K & State Highway 35, the Great River Road. Behind me is Control Point CP3929 and a set of signals for the double crossovers and beyond that is the Hot Box Detector.

Looking to the Northwest, we see BNSF's ZPTLCHC4-10U with 8,300 feet of a combination of both steamship ISO boxes as well as domestic containers & trailers.

My go-to spot when coming home from Red Wing is Hager City, specifically west of there by a mile or to at the Crossover Control Point CP392.9 near the Hot Box Detector.

Here, at 1PM on a sunny but cold (-5 degrees ambient) Monday is BNSF's ZPTLCHC4-10U with nice clean leader 7147 & 8,300 feet work of ISO boxes and domestic intermodal.

Generally on BNSF, the 7 & 8000-series units tend to be in pretty good shape along with the newer 3600, 3700 & 4200-series GE's.

Technically, the location is CP 3929 and were a mile or so west of Hager City but most call this Hager. The military train powered by two BNSF GE Toasters steers his 48 military loads from Main Two through the crossovers and onto Main One for the run over to the bridge at Prescott.

Two reasonable-looking Toasters are in charge of this 48-car military move on BNSF's St. Croix Sub.

Track work moved this train from Main 1 to 2 at Stockholm and then here at CP3929 at Hager City he crosses back over from Main 2 to Main 1 and continue his right-hand running up to the St. Croix River Bridge at Prescott.

It's a little after 10am and yet another overcast day in January. Military moves are not all that common on BNSF's St. Croix Sub seen here just west of Hager City headed for Diamond Bluff.
