This was taken a few days before they fledged, you can hear dad calling to them soon before showing up with their yum yums! I had to delete the previous video, it cut off just before the dad showed up to feed them. My apologies to anyone who may have commented
This is Tillie going for a morning swim fetching her toy,,, the canoe paddle!! Of course she takes her sweet time to rescue it but eventually it makes it safely back to shore with her, then she starts to bark for me to throw again! What fun!! It is gonna take her a couple of days to dry out and she is going to stink up the house with the smell of Lake Ontario on her!
I took a brief video of this young male? I am not very good at taking video, I am not sure what I am doing wrong but it seems to go in and out of focus, my lens is a Canon EF L series 100-400 mm IS. Do I need to put my Image stabilizer mode on 1 or 2 for video. I have been doing my video with it on 1 and wondering if maybe it would be on 2, Any suggestions or tips would be really appreciated!! :)
I seen this Common Loon just the other day, and we are in the middle of winter. It should not even be here right now. He or she was swimming around relentlessly sticking its head under water scanning for a fish to eat, I watched it for awhile it did not catch anything that I know of. In this video it shows it dive down at one point but came up with nothing. My hope is that it is able to survive the rest of the winter and then smooth sailing from there on out! Fingers Crossed! :)
