West Country class Pacific no. 34046 'Braunton' emerges from the 3 miles long Standedge tunnel and crosses the Huddersfield Narrow canal on 17th April 2024, heading a Saphos Trains' charter 1Z80, 'The White Rose' from Hereford to York. Steam traction was from Crewe via Warrington Bank Quay, Manchester Victoria, Guide Bridge and Stalybridge, these days an unusual route for steam haulage and a change from the planned route via the Hope Valley line and Sheffield.

Power car no. 43055 leads the Saphos 'Midland Pullman' charter 1Z65 past Copmanthorpe on 14th April 2024, the return journey of the 'Cornish Riviera Pullman' on it's 13 1/4 hour trip from Penzance to Berwick-on-Tweed. 43047 was on the rear of the train.

DRS class 88 no. 88005 'Minerva' pilots class 68 no. 68018 'Vigilant' past Copmanthorpe on 14th April 2024, with the diverted 4Z48 Tesco containers from Mossend to Daventry.
