This is a spot I've been meaning to get to for a while. I made it an overnight stop on my way to a short visit to Scotland.

Clevedon is a rather delightful and genteel town on the North Somerset coast. In terms of architecture it reminds me of some of the more attractive parts of nearby Bristol, but much smaller and more intimate, with this wonderful old pier that draws photography enthusiasts from afar. In the background the coast of South Wales is visible through the warm haze.

Even though it was a hot summer evening I couldn't believe my luck in finding such perfect conditions and a wonderful sunset. I shall return!

Another shot where I'm finding the Canon 70-200 f4 lens a joy to use!
