Differences over the A350-900 include:
- longer fuselage (from 66.8m to 73.78m)
- more passenger capacity (from 325 to 366 for typical layout)
- increased MTOW (from 280t to 308t)
- more powerful Rolls-Royce Trent engines (XWB-97 with 97.000 lbf compared to XWB-84 with 84.000 lbf)
- three axle main gear bogie with six wheels compared to two axles and four wheels
- slightly increased wing area (cca 4%)
- vortex generators on both inboard and outboard engine cowling sides to maintain take-off and landing performance

IAR-99 Standard 804 belonging to Şcoala de Aplicaţie pentru Forţele Aeriene flying an awesome display during Boboc Air Show 2018. Flying mock attacks in front of the crowd and then pulling up, leaving vapor trails and a nice exhaust plume. This nimble little aircraft is a Romanian-made trainer with excellent flying qualities.
