Hiking throgh the forest, sometimes the most intersting things to photograph are small. The wind made photos of flowers a bit more challenging on this day.

Using a flash is not something I have done a lot of over the years, since most of what I do is outside. However, there are times when I'm finding it useful. This photo was one of those instances because it gave better lighting to the guy in the picture. More interesting than him though is the background. This is the quarry the used to get the limestone to build the Indiana State Capitol building. There is now a small pond at the bottom, and it was filled with what seemed like millions of tadpoles!
