RAF Wildenrath, 1 August 1984.
A day at the fence of Wildenrath in West Germany usually was worth the 2,5 hours ride. On this day I caught two visiting Lightnings of 5 squadron from RAF Binbrook.
Other visitors flying by were two camouflaged Hawks, a Canberra T.17, Hercules C.3, Jetstream T.1, a Jaguar GR.1 form RAF Brüggen, a US. Army C-12C and a Luftwaffe TF-104G.

A scan of a slide, so not the picture perfect quality you make nowadays.
There was no Red Flag in progress on this day, but I was happy to see some aggressor F-16s. 87-0267 WA-67 is now in storage at AMARG.

93-0547 is an F-16CM of 389th Fighter Squadron. It's now in use with the South Carolina ANG.
A handful of visiting F-16s from Mountain Home were a bonus this day. There was no Red Flag exercise, so I saw mostly local jets.

F-15C 81-0053 of 57th Wing landing on runway 21 Left. This was when you still could drive along the fence to a spot between both runways.
The Eagle flew with 1st FW at Langley before I saw it at Nellis AFB and went to the Oregon Air National Guard afterwards. It's now stored at AMARG, Arizona.
