This beautiful town on the northern tip of the Keweenaw peninsula, is further north than anywhere in the state of Maine! As of 2014, Copper Harbor's population is 132 people. In the distance is the Copper Harbor lighthouse built in 1866.

This is a very beautiful and unique old growth forest that we hiked just out of Copper Harbor. Some of the white pines date back 500 years! There are over 85 species of birds (14 species of warblers) that nest in this sanctuary. This is such a wonderful place to visit.
