Another exceptional adventure with Darcy and an early morning trip to Dinorwic slate quarry.

I arrived at the rendezvous point before sunrise to captue a few photos of the renowned lone tree of Padarn. Spoilt entirely by some blinkin' swans that would not bugger off!

We made our way up to a place called Lon Garret parked up and set off up the hill! After perhaps a 30 min walk we ended up overlooking this place, Mike's Machu Picchu. Gorgeous views but that wasn't to last. Piddled down for a good few hrs later....

Some mountain goats and dossers in one of the buildings provided some light entertainment. Don't think the goats were impressed with the words "Goat Vindaloo!"

Great day out Mike and thank you for being an excellent tour guide, H+S officer and an all round top bloke!

Sunday morning dog walking in Wales.

Stwlan Dam built in the 60's to provide water to the generators of the Festiniog Power Station some 1000ft below.
