How hard are these to photograph when alive!!
Found this little chap/chapess on the kitchen wall so captured him/her and put them in the freezer!! Sorry, but I'm sure they felt no pain! Easy peasy then!
Lit with SB910 @1/32 and 24mm just to the right of camera. Leaf for authenticity!

Week 3 in the group 52 Photos - 2017 and the theme is "Birds"
Managed to spend some time in the garden in the daylight to capture this Long Tailed Tit. I like the backlit golden glow in this and the fact he/she is staring directly at me.
I posted a similar photo of a Blue Tit 2yrs ago and tagged it "Tits" first. Everyday it's in the top 3 most viewed photos in my stream with 17k views so far! Don't think it's bird watchers doing the searches!!!!

Spent a good chunk of my afternoon trying to capture birds in flight...I'd given up with the fast shutter as the lure was getting into the shadows! So I had to crack open the strobes.... After a fair few adjustments I came up with the YN968 just behind the fat ball feeder. Set at 1/8 power @ 70mm. Using HSS with the YN622 I was able to capture a few incoming flights to the feeder. I now need to create some distance between feeder and background for some better isolation shots. Thoroughly enjoyed the learning curve :)
