Bored on a wet afternoon so had a faff in photoshop. I'd previously seen an article about vortex star trails so I gave it a bash. Not as easy as the article said so I did some YouTubing. Single frame with the sky separated from the lighthouse. Sky then rotated with proportions constrained! 84 times! blend mode set to lighten. Easy 😂😂

Work is a pain in the backside at the minute. Long hours and stress to get the project done on time. This led to me being awake at 2.30 and decided to get up at 3am!

So, camera out to take advantage of the clear sky. 150 30secs shots with the lens pointed at Polaris. Photos converted to jpg in LR then processed with the free program - Startrails

The view from the hot tub Friday night :) Made even more special as I unexpectedly captured the ISS passing over. Great sight to see amongst the gazillion of stars...

The peak of the Lyrid meteor shower was Friday night. I'd planned on spending a couple of hours in a field hoping to catch a few.

By the time the camera had shot its 64th 20sec frame I was bored, cold and it was chuffin' windy! So I gave up!

Looking at the individual frames I did catch one but it is quite feint. Can you spot it? So, I made the image into a star trail.

Lots of activity in the sky tho with plenty of aeroplanes and a few satellites passing overhead.

A cold night in the garden last weekend. Well, not really! Camera set up to take 130 30sec exposures whilst I was inside with a beer :) Exposures blended in a free piece of software entitled 'Startrails' Inbound traffic to Manchester Airport joined the show too :)
