Once again I am at the beach near Jökulsárlón. This place is an endless source of photographic possibilities.
Being there in mid winter means that you shoot the icebergs towards the rising and setting sun. This time however the sun did not create any spectacular colors but a stripe of light along the horizon.
The calm weather and the relatively calm sea meant that I could get near where the splashing waves catch the icebergs without to much risk to my gear or my self.

We were really nervous about lighting a fire inside this old house because of how easily they burn to the ground, but I always seem to put safety and the thought of consequences aside when I have an idea for a photograph. Maybe that's something I should work on. New years resolution? Probably not. The risks are part of what I enjoy most about this job.
