This is Lauren. I can't wait to shoot with her again. It's funny, because almost every day I would see her walk past my table while sitting at lunch, and I would comment on how I wanted to shoot her, and then one day she sat with us and told me about how she always wanted to model, so it was kind of destiny.
This wasn't the original photo we had gone for. I actually snapped this candidly, but I felt that it had so much more emotion and fit the theme better than all the rest.

Stranger #77 was one of the most strikingly beautiful face I’ve photographed in my Portraits of Strangers project. So when I decided to do this “Strangers Revisited” project, she was an obvious choice. And when Atika agreed to do a photo shoot with me, I was so ecstatic yet pretty nervous at the same time.
